Although the weather was freezing and it got crowded at times-we have heard nothing but great feedback from those who attended!! Sometimes a picture can just melt your heart! You think Rachel is cute in this picture, well I can say I have had the privilege to meet this super cutie! She is simply the sweetest little baby girl I have met in a long time. It's not hard to get her to smile and you just can't help but giggle when she babbles back at you. Rachel had heart surgery last Tuesday and we have been keeping tabs on her recovery through a friend of the family. Happy to say she is home and doing well. We wanted to share our happiness with our dreambug fans because life is just so precious you can't help but feel those warm fuzzies for little miracles like Rachel. Kelowna Farmers Market

I am writing this post to inform everyone of recent difficulties we have experienced while participating in the Kelowna Farmer's Market.

the little dreambug has been asked by the Market coordinator not to return until they can determine if we qualify as a vendor to display items at their market. We are not by any means "hit and miss" with our attendance as they have indicated to customers inquiring about where we have gone. We have faithfully attended every Wednesday since we moved to the Kelowna area in July.

The mandate of the Kelowna Market is to allow vendors showcasing locally grown, baked, or handmade, food and crafts in the Okanagan area. We have been asked not return as we do not qualify as a vendor under this strict mandate-we include items for sale also handmade in Alberta, as well as areas outside of the Okanagan area (Vancouver).

To clarify: Almost all of our items are handmade (with the exception of our buddies-which we order from a company in Toronto Parkdale Novelty) and our onesies (which we get from a company in Vancouver Zee Spot) Many of our items are made right in Kelowna- Our cute ponchos, aprons, receivers, and blankets. As well as- of course- many our beautiful custom baskets!

In no way do we attempt to hide the fact that not every item in the booth is handmade by us in the Okanagan from our customers and, in fact, we include it as part of our "sales spiel" for most customers visiting our booth!

The Kelowna Market organizers have taken it upon themselves to allow only certain vendors to display certain items. We do not feel that we are fully representing our beautiful line of products by only displaying Kelowna made items since all of the Alberta made items have been hand sewn by us or a member of our team. We will return to the market when they will allow us to display our line as we would like...with all of our luxurious goodies! Until then we are happy to participate in Penticton on Saturdays!

Wow! Spring time is baby time. We have definitely seen an increase in traffic to our website and would like to thank all of our devoted fans for continuing to support our small business. We are so happy that you all love our new items. Our mini cuddler's were a hit, and it was interesting to see how many of you wanted yours customized!

Our March Madness sales are wrapping up but we we will do it again sooner than later, we know everyone love sales!

We look forward to adding more things in the next few months. After oodles of requests, we have finally ordered a bright, apple red minky to add to our cuddler colours. We know it will be the perfect match to our adorable ladybug. All those young boys out there that have asked me for a red giant cuddler will finally get what they have asked for. Red should be available mid April on the website so keep your eye's peeled!

As Easter approaches we want to remind anyone interested in ordering Little Dreambug as a gift, that order's should be put in before April 15th.. Please phone the toll free number if you have any questions regarding shipping or delivery.

I know my kidlet's are excited for Easter to come, and more importantly for the warm weather that spring brings! Let's hope it gets here soon!

The little dreambug is going to be showing off all of their new items at a couple of up and coming trade fairs. Check out Mommylicious in Edmonton at the Mayfield Inn (Edmonton) Sunday, March 6th from 10am -4pm.

We will also be participating at the Mom, Pop & Tots Fair on March 11th and March 12th. Both days the show runs from 9am-5pm.

We are so excited about all the new and exciting things we have put together the last couple months. Our website is being updated by Leanne as I write this blog post so keep your eyes peeled for all those new items. This is Kelly and my first blog post and definetly not my last as I always have something to say :) Diana and I are just hanging out and pouting a little that we could not make our trip to Calgary to try yet again for our staff get together. Instead we are here in Whitecourt without Leanne and Solveig discussing upcoming exciting news and events. I am so pumped about the cutest little dreambug contest. Its' a once a year event at the little dreambug that allows us the reward to see all those happy kid's that love their dreambug goodies as much as mine do. The prizes rock: spa treatments and little dreambug items...who wouldn't want that? Winter Be Gone!

The little dreambug staff are all gearing up for the spring with many trade show's in the works this year. Until the rain starts and this snow continues to fall we will keep busy inside, staying warm beside our sewing machine's. We have some new, exciting item's that we are adding to our line. We have had many requests for sleep sacs and are now just preparing some stock to add to the website. Phone for details on our new sleep sacs and pre-order one today. Also new to the line will be our drooler bandana's, poncho's and children's cooking aprons. The aprons are colorful, fun and customizable. The little dreambug is excited for this fun and funky show that we attend twice a year. Make It-is a show that we have been a part of the last three years. It features the best of Edmonton and area handmade goodies. We always have a blast at this show with it's eclectic market. Welcome Solveig

Wow, it's been a busy couple of weeks. Two new employee's to our company which is huge for Leanne and I with our teeny tiny team. We are so excited to have a couple of terrific gals to be a part of our growing company.

Solveig Sneddon will be doing embroidery and sewing with Leanne in Calgary. We are so lucky to have found Solveig. It is the perfect match for everyone as Solveig has little baby boy Haakon and she is able to bring him along with her to work. I must admit that I am jealous that I don't get to be there working with Leanne and Solveig. I know Solveig from high school and the two of us played basketball on the same team together. Through facebook we reconnected and I happened to notice that she had a couple of status updates on sewing for her little one. I am just so happy that on one of her status updates I made a comment. Soon enough we offered Solveig a position with the little dreambug. She has only been working for a short time but we already see the potential that she brings to our company. Being a mom, and a creative one at that, Solveig loves to design items for her little one in the same way Leanne and I do. We know that her upbeat personality and sometimes silliness is well fitted to our laid back style. Yay Solveig!

Okay-so we have been busy participating in the St.Albert Farmer's Market for the last couple of weeks. We had a great response but it is good to be home and I'm looking forward to finally getting the new website up and running. It has been trying to say the least but only because I spend so much time on details that no one else will notice but me...such as does this color for this particular heading match the pantones I chose in our logo?

All in all great times with photoshop though! Speaking of photoshop...I can't wait to get my hands on some photos taken of my girls with some of our products. Photos that were taken by a spectacular photographer (and old high school friend). Links will follow to her awesome website as soon as I have some photos to post!

So I am trying to make the most out of our new blog. The kids are both down for a nap and after numerous phone calls made already this morning I thought-what better time to waste than by blogging?
